Product Description
The Clos Prieur Premier Cru lies just beneath the Grand Cru Mazis-Chambertin, on similar limestone-dominated soils. This ideal location allows it to produce wines of excellent structure, minerality, and aging potential.
In the cooler, elegant 2021 vintage, Domaine Pierre Gelin crafted a beautifully balanced wine that emphasizes finesse over power, with bright red fruit, detailed aromatics, and chalky precision. Fermentation was carried out with native yeasts, and the wine was aged for 16–18 months in French oak barrels (around 30% new), allowing the terroir to express itself clearly and gracefully.
