Brie de Meaux AOP
The “King of Brie” – Traditional French Soft Cheese from Île-de-France
Contents: Raw cow’s milk cheese with a bloomy white rind, AOP-certified

Product Description

Brie de Meaux is the original and most prestigious Brie, protected by AOP (Appellation d’Origine Protégée) status and made exclusively in the Île-de-France region near Paris. Crafted from raw cow’s milk, it is aged for 6 to 8 weeks, developing a soft, creamy paste under a delicate white Penicillium rind. This cheese has been produced since the Middle Ages and was crowned the "Prince of Cheeses" at the Congress of Vienna in 1815.

  • Made from unpasteurized cow’s milk

  • Slow-ripened for 6–8 weeks

  • Large flat wheel (approx. 3kg), traditional format

  • Soft, ivory-colored paste with a white bloomy rind

  • Earthy, complex, and aromatic profile

Tasting Notes

  • Lush, buttery texture that becomes runny when ripe
